Amorgos island belongs to Cyclades and lies at the easternmost end of the complex, very close to Astipalea. It is the island of contrasts. Mountains and green fields join in with the Aegean blue and create unique pictures. It seems almost untouched by time, since the inhabitants keep traditions alive. Lovers of nature and hiking will discover a hidden paradise in Amorgos if they choose to follow one of the ambulatory routes suggested by the locals.
Katapola is one of the island’s ports, consisted of three settlements: Katapola, Rahidi and Xilokeratidi. Most tourists choose it for their accommodation. It has many hotels, rooms to let, taverns and shops along the coastline.
Pension Panos is a traditional building 500m from the port of Katapola. It is decorated with the Aegean colours, white and blue and has a big garden with flowers on the front.
